1. The Overview
eTherapyPro is an eTherapy app/website that focuses on providing counseling to clients via messages, text, calls, and Skype.
E-therapy makes the whole process faster, more convenient, and often more affordable. To launch eTherapyPro needed a brand. 8 Create established the logo and continued onto a plan for the website.
2. The Context and Challenge
Just like with face-to-face therapy, it’s important to only work with licensed providers and to take some time beforehand to verify that the practice is legitimate. Also, like with brick-and-mortar practices, clients will identify a therapist that seems most appropriate for their goals and needs, book a preliminary session, and pay in advance. Once it’s time for the appointment, most e-therapy practices have dedicated online “gateways” or an associated app that is used to communicate securely with the provider over a computer or smartphone.
At the client’s scheduled appointment time, that person simply logs in from wherever they happen to be. At this point, it works much like any other kind of video chatting: a screen will open with the therapist, and the session will begin as the two parties talk in real-time.
1. Project background and description — This project had a deadline for everything (logo and website User Experience) to be ready and have a presence before even the first potential client finds them online.
2. The problem — With eTherapy being a highly competitive industry now; the website needed to stand out ONLINE and for SEO purposes the brand name needed to be discovered with 8 Create to really have the brand name work for the website without extra effort.
3. Project goals and objectives — Because the domain was available and people Googling “eTherapy” will be how they are found — eTherapyPro is what we landed on together to boost the service business. But eTherapyPro had a specific target market besides Millenials. The founder and a licensed psychologist who would be the first team member wanted to target go-getters, adventure seekers, and those who wouldn’t be opposed to getting out into nature as a part of their mental health treatment.
3. The Process and Insight
The logo design process with me takes usually 3-10 days as we go back/forth with unlimited concepts before “the one” emerges. The leaf was something I always circled back to, but as so many brands have a leaf I needed the brand to stand out while also showing off the modern, tech side of this website/app.
Next, (after final logo approval) I addressed the User Experience of the website and app. This process is much more detailed and for the start combines the client and therapist’s needs.
